We work together with our suppliers to ensure the whole production process follows ethical standards for both the work place and the environment.
Ethical Trading Policy
We set ourselves Ethical Trading Standards and ask our suppliers to affirm that their businesses are also built on these ethical criteria.
We have developed a full policy statement outlining how we expect our practice to develop in order to be able to offer strong guarantees to our customers that the products they receive from us have been ethically produced and traded.

We are proud to support our employees in making a positive impact by providing an additional day of paid leave each year to volunteer with a charity they care about.

We are committed to reducing food waste by working with the food bank Food Share Project, ensuring surplus products are put to good use rather than going to waste.

We work with SOS. Saturday Outreach Service by providing food products to help support people experiencing homelessness, insecure housing, financial hardship, and anyone struggling with the cost of living crisis.

We happily support the charity From Grandmas Garden by providing storage for their products to be packed and sent out accordingly

We also support the charity Dine With Us who take short life fresh food and distribute to those in need, wiht the aim to promote a healthy balanced diet inclduing protein.
Environmental Policy
Through recycling, sustainable energy and resources we endeavour to minimise our impact on the environment.
The key points of this strategy are:

Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.

Modern Day Slavery Statement
Modern slavery statement for financial year 2025/2026 This statement is made pursuant to s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Skoulikas Bedford Ltd has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. Skoulikas Bedford Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to any from of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place withing the business or our supply chain.

Supplying authentic products from Greece to Health Food Trade and Manufactures launched the ‘’Sunita’’ and ‘’Hellenic’’ brands.
Bedford Continental Wholesale
Supplying traditional Italian delis, shops and wholesalers with premier brands from Italy Sales areas based around populated areas where the Italian communities are based.

Our policies
Skoulikas Bedford Ltd operates a supplier policy and maintains a preferred supplier list. We conduct due diligence on all supplier before allowing them to become a preferred supplier. This due diligence includes an online search to ensure that a particular organization has never been convicted of offenses relating to modern slavery, we also conduct on site audits which include a review of working conditions. Our anti-slavery policy forms part of our contract with all suppliers and they are required to confirm that no part their business operations contradicts this policy.
Modern slavery statement 2025/26
In addition to the above, as part of our contract with supplier, we required that they confirm to us that:
• They have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their business
• They hold their own suppliers to account over modern slavery
• They pay their employees any prevailing minimum wage applicable within their country of operations
• We may terminate the contract at any time should any instances of modern slavery come to light
Training
We regularly conduct training for our procurement/buying teams so that they understand the signs of modern slavery and what to do if they suspect that it is taking place within our supply chain.
Our performance indicators
We will know the effectiveness of the steps that we are taking to ensure that slavery and/or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain if: • No reports are received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.
